Allergic to Rosemary - if ingested, within a matter of 5 minutes can go into anaphylaxis and must be dosed with epinephrine (adrenaline) which she carries on her person for emergencies to which afterwards she needs to be seen my a medical professional or hospital. This also extends to interactions with others. Should there be a presence of rosemary on a person's lips or in their mouth and she were to kiss them, she would also have a reaction.
3. Has to carry with her a short-acting asthma medication (known as “rescue” inhalers) to help relieve breathing problems once epinephrine has been given to help soothe her throat otherwise she would have to wait for her lycanthropy to heal the damage which prevents her from speaking with anything but a hoarse voice.

                Yet Tris can be easily tripped up in situations where her focus on practical matters is more of a liability than an asset.     Beatrice had been a very typical girl. She went to school, had lots of friends, even had a boyfriend or two. Her parents were kindly people and typically accepted the flaws of those around them. When she got older, she preferred to be called Tris rather than Beatrice.
    Although, Tris had a wild side. While during the morning hours, she was a well liked and demure young woman. At night, she would go to parties at friend's houses, drink, and even experimented with drugs.
    Eventually, her parents discovered her secret wild side, just after she turned 16. and decided it was time to have a talk with her. It was during this talk that Beatrice found out why her parents were so accepting her her devil-may-care attitude. They were both were-lions. It was a side of her parents she never knew about.
    This is where her life changed forever. They gave her a choice, Tris could either remain a human with a chance to join them later should she desire it. Or she could be "infected" and join them. Her parents insisted that she take a couple of weeks to think it over and ask any questions she wanted the answers to.
    Tris took this question seriously. While it would be nice to share in her parents secret life, she knew that once she made this choice that she couldn't go back. Plus, she knew now that lion society was very aggressive and she'd have to cope with everything that came with it.
    After the grace period, her parents talked with her again to ask for her decision. Tris took them up on their offer. So, they set out plans to do it as safely as possible.
    It took some time for the planets to align in the manner needed for Tris to "catch" their strain of lycanthropy. But after a matter of weeks, she tested positive for the lion lycanthropy. After that moment, Tris' parents worked with her everyday to prepare her for her first experience with a full moon.
    This went on for a full year as they mentored her until she could think as herself during a full moon. Once she was ready, the next full moon, she was introduced to the pride and she began her entrance into the life of a pride member.
    Eventually, though, she found herself thinking about life outside of the life she knew. While she had made many friends, she still had the wild side that longed for adventure. One day she expressed this to her parents. While they understood, they knew it wasn't going to be easy to manage.
    They met with the Rex of the pride and talked about her desire and the possibility of her moving to a place with newly forming pride to add to their numbers and give her a deeper sense of belonging.
    With much hemming and hawing, the Rex finally approved of the move and located a place off the coast of Connecticut called Pleasure Island that still had a lack of a strong lycanthrope presence to be the best place for Tris.
    Her excitement awoke as the calls were made for her access to the island as well as the journey she would have to make. As she looked out the window of the helicopter as she flew over the water heading for Pleasure Island, a grin crossed her face thinking about what excitement was waiting for her.

ANSWER →         In the year 1688, Narcissus Silvercloud was a young Mer of living on his own land in Adare, Ireland. He had been born a mer like his parents before him. Being a young merperson, he was prone to such things that young people were at times no matter the race. Narcissus' parents despaired at reigning in his random bouts of risk taking and merely supported him...while having him followed.
    Despite his ambitious risk-taking, it wasn't out of curiosity. It was because he tended to flirt with various girls simply for the fun of it. Not out of any future with the girl. Since his parents were wealthy and well liked in the community, he had the finances to do pretty much anything he liked.
    However, this was the year that began to Jacobite uprisings. His parents knew this would be nearly irresistible to him. So, they made him a deal. He could travel about following the path of the war if he did two things. One, he was to keep his distance from the actual battles and two, he was to take one of his uncles with him to keep an eye on him.
    Begrudgingly, he agreed and set off with his uncle to watch history being made as it unfolded. As the war wound on, it moved into Scotland. Narcissus' uncle sent word back as to where they were going and they continued onward. One evening, they went to seek accommodations. They were accepted in by the MacDonalds of Glencoe who were also housing some Jacobite soldiers on their way to pledge loyalty to the crown.
    Yet, this was to be no peaceful rest. During the night on February 12th 1692, Captain Drummond, whom had arrived earlier that same day, took up arms and with his own men began to slaughter the family and Jacobites that had been there that they could find. This act came to be known as the Massacre of Glencoe.
    Narcissus and his uncle escaped from the home they had been sleeping in and escaped helping some of the men, women, and children along the way. Having seen such slaughtering up close and personal, he learned a great deal that tempered some of his personality.
    Over the passing years, he largely stayed with his parents which prompted him to be a bit more cautious about getting in the middle of risky issues. But he took to more subtle risk taking. He attended school occasionally and eventually worked with his parents to become a teacher when the existence of merpeople were more widely accepted. He taught a variety of subjects as he was versed in nearly everything save for some things he considered unimportant.
    Yet, his streak of risk-taking was lit anew when word of an old island was renovated by a vampire and opened it to new residents. As he was now 328 years old, he was allowed to roam much more freely save for certain occasions. With a new challenge in front of him, he sold his home, and headed for Pleasure Island.

1. He has bad eye sight so he has to wear glasses 24/7. This means that should he not have his glasses on or they are broken/stolen/knocked off him, that if he were to use his telekinesis it would inevitably not hit what he was aiming at nor could he control where that item/person would be moved to.
2.  Diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (autism): sensitive to bright lights, doesn't like scratchy textures in clothes, avoids certain foods because of the texture, has a hard time understanding sarcasm and body language and sometimes says things that could upset someone without knowing it.
3. With his telekinesis, he can only lift up to a 5lb book with his mind. but after that he would be really tired and have to go rest up for an hour or two.

    Lani had a rather typical life all things considered. He was the typical geek. He traveled to different states for anime and comic book conventions and he even dressed for every occasion with costumes he made himself. His flikr pages were filled with photos he took with various stars from Leonard Nimoy to Hayao Miyazaki and even David Tennant.
    However, he was far from typical. Since he was young, he had the ability to move things with his mind. His parents did their best to hide it from the neighbors. But Lani didn't care and even spent his time using it to amuse his younger brother Jimmy.
    Once he was 18 though, he'd had enough of his parents embarrassment and he moved out. He took odd jobs as he traveled around. Lani took every geek job he could find. He worked at conventions, comic book stores, game stores, book stores, etc. Even with all his traveling, he did his best to keep in contact with his younger brother.
    But when his brother moved out, he lost touch with him for many years. It was the year he was working for a comic-con as a judge for the costume contest when his parents contacted him for the first time since he left home. They were apparently more concerned about Jimmy since he left home to move to Pleasure Island.
    Despite his distaste for his parents, he did truly care for his brother. Once his job was up for that year, he packed up his belongings, sold his apartment, and headed to see what had become of his brother at Pleasure Island.
